I would recommend Farr Medical Group. The staff are great, they are friendly, kind and helpful. My physician Dr. Alicia Campos is a great doctor. She is professional, kind, caring and understanding and greets you with a warm smile. Dr.Campos is very thorough and doesn't rush during examination. She explains things and gives you time to ask questions. I highly recommend her.

Service was fast, efficient and thorough. I brought my Mom in for a required annual exam, our Doctor noticed a band aid on her back and referred her to a dermatologist after seeing what was underneath. I would not have seen that as my Mom has dementia and forgets to tell me when something is wrong. She was gentle and kind and I appreciated her observations and testing recommendations. Highly recommend this practice.

The overall clinic is good, it was the provider, Andrea Ragsby, that was not. My first visit with her I waited more than an hour to finally see her when I could hear her in the hallway just chatting away. When I finally saw her, it was just a short exam, I mentioned a medical issue that was bothering me and she just brushed it off and said nothing could be done. My second visit was over the phone and I mentioned I had imaging done previously and she questioned if I was truly sure of where I had my imaging done since she lacked the energy to look for it. I have seen a specialist for my back issues, and having the reports from said specialist plus imaging, she dared state that my results were of mild significance and I should not be complaining so much of pain. That's after the fact that the results from the specialist stated I have significant nerve damage and bone damage. It's sad that you seek the help of medical providers for them just to downplay your symptoms and medical needs.

Absolutely delighted to find Farr Medical Group! No medical office I've ever visited in Bakersfield can compare, except maybe Quest Imaging on Stockdale. But this review is for Farr Medical. Time focused: This was my first visit and I was surprised at how quickly the intake went and from there it was barely a couple of minutes before I was called to the exam rooms. Very sharp, attentive and knowledgeable staff. I felt I was "seen and heard" by medical assistant who took vitals and also by Nurse Practitioner Jinai Patel, MSN, FNP-BC. Very impressed with her. I was also surprised to find Farr Medical Group specializes in so many areas and offer laser hair and tattoo removal, and hormone therapy. My husband and I recently retired. I couldn't be more pleased that Farr accepts Medicare and my supplemental insurance. What a huge relief to find this gem of a medical group. Loved every staff member I met.

I absolutely adore Susan Schneider. She takes the time to get to know her patients. You can tell she really cares about them. Dr. Farr is a keeper as well. I have been with this practice from the very beginning and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The admin staff is helpful and efficient as well. Believe it or not, it’s an overall pleasant experience.

I've been a patient here for years. I hadn't gone in a few years and realized I needed to go back. The entire time I was asked about being a new patient. I reminded them many times I'm not a new patient and that they have all my records. They would not do a regular full women's visit because I had to get "re-established" first. So I had to make an appointment to come in and have my lungs listened to (not sick) to them make another appointment a month from now to get the full visit. They are friendly and I go there for a reason, but it reminded me why I haven't been to the Dr in so long, it's a waste of time. I had to make and go to an appointment to make and go to another appointment...seems silly to me. If I truly was a new patient maybe this would make sense, but we should have been able to do more than just get my vitals when I already waited 3 weeks for that appointment. So from my initial call to get a full female visit to the actual appointment is going to be a total of 8 weeks. Again the Drs and staff are all welcoming and kind, just kinda silly if you ask me to make an appointment to make an appointment.

Check in was easy and I wasn't waiting long at all before being seen very very close to my appointment time. They were even courteous enough to apologize for the wait which was extremely minimal. Dr. Carranza was excellent and you could tell she actually cares about what was going on vs just trying to get me out of there. Every one was kind from check in to check. Probably one of the best if not the best doctors appointment I've ever had.
